Who is Josa Saramago?
Josa Saramago is a Portuguese Noble Prize winner for literature.
Recently his last home in Tias has been opened to the public
For 8 euros you receive a guided tour, plus audio guide and a cup of Portuguese coffee. The excellent tour gives information about his personal life, books and political views which shaped his writing. He has sold over two million books in Portugal, and his work has been translated into 25 languages.
This house/ museum is a hidden gem in Tias and is not widely promoted.
