Teguise ....... a great place to walk and wander

Most people who come to Lanzarote, visit Teguise on a Sunday to the largest market on the Island

However it is a wonderful place just to wander around

Tip avoid Mondays as many places are closed as they were open on a Sunday

Did you know the town was founded in 1414. It served as the capital of the Kingdom of the Canary Islands from 1425 to 1448 and was capital of Lanzarote until the capital moved to Arrecife in 1852.
