The EU is pushing member states to adopt a common "traffic light" quarantine system

The EU system would see quarantine measures to all arrivals from countries which have more than 50 Covid-19 cases per 100,000

A recent surge in Covid-19 cases in the UK mean currently the infection rate is 51.1 per 100,000

Below are the number of cases per 100,000 in the EU - Note Spain includes Canary Islands

If the EU "traffic light" is adopted, it is expected to be introduced Mid October

On a positive note the number of active cases in Lanzarote have reduced by 30% since last week to 418, with only 11 in hospital
