Note : Lanzarote - 70 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 7 days (Last week 214)

UK by comparison is 115 (Last week190)

International travel might recommence May 17 - next step UK government's Global Travel Taskforce will reconvene to issue a report by 12 April recommending how international trips can resume safely.

Vaccine passports - Lots of articles in the media this week, with Greece leading the way with the wish to introduce a passport system, the issue is will this have to be EU wide or can countries go it alone but to an agreed standard

Athens is also in talks with Britain about using a digital "Green Pass", which it has already agreed with Israel, that issues certificates for people who have had both of their Covid-19 jabs.

The IATA travel pass, mentioned last week is one option - There have been conflicting reports over whether the UK will adopt a similar approach to what Australia and New Zealand are currently trialling. Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said that in future some countries will require proof of vaccination to allow entry and the government ‘obviously want to make sure that Brits can fulfil that’.

Vaccination programme in the Canary Islands - Supply is still a major issue for the Islands, with currently on 2.37% of the population vaccinated (Both dosages)
