UK Government - Announcement last night shown on the BBC News website for those returning to the UK will be required to show proof of a negative PCR or lateral flow test taken no earlier than 48 hours before departure

We ring a couple of days before for an appointment, had the test , then sit outside next door and had a coffee (They have some amazing cheesecake) and 20 mins later picked up the results!

After you enter the UK a Day 2 PCR test will be required- must be purchased prior to departure as the reference number is needed for the UK Passenger locator form (Not an antigen/rapid test) and you must self-isolate until you get your result.

Tip - you are able to take your test as soon as you arrive in the UK and send it back to the designated lab via a "Priority post box" which operate every day including Saturday / Sunday, to find your nearest "Priority post box" click on the link https://www.royalmail.com/services-near-you#/

Great news Lanzarote has moved back to Level 1 - Bars / restaurants stay open longer and more people allowed inside
