Lanzarote has lift off again!

December 3 will see all airlines re-commence flights to Lanzarote (Ryanair never stopped!)
Lanzarote is ready and waiting........................
Testing for entry into Lanzarote
Discussions continue on allowing the rapid antigen tests for entry into Lanzarote
It certainly is confusing on what test is currently required to allow entry into Lanzarote from the UK - It is COVID-19 RT-qPCR Test
The travel certificate must be original paper (no photocopies) or digital version, in English or Spanish with the following information
name of passenger
passport number (or DNI for Spanish nationals returning to the country) matching that of document used for passport control
date test was physically carried out
ID and details of the lab where it was analysed
confirmation that test was a PCR type
negative result
The online Travel form which needs to completed prior to Lanzarote now asks for confirmation of a negative test result and that you have a travel certificate
It seems if you arrive without the correct travel certificate you will be expected to take a PCR test and will be fined - Translation " minor offenses will lead to the imposition of penalties of up to 3,000 euros. In the case of serious offences, a fine of 3,001 to 60,000 euros."
We have been checking out where you can get the test completed in the UK 72 hours before arrival (remember you need to factor in if you flight gets delayed departing)
Many places are popping up offering the service , when in fact they just seem to be just a "front office operation" meaning they receive the sample, it then gets sent off by courier to a testing lab and the clock only starts ticking on when you get the results back when the sample arrives at the laboratory
The two most credible companies we have found who operate 24/7 -7 days a week are:
Randox - www.randoxhealth.com - They are the approved test house for Tui and Jet2, the cost is £120 per person but there is a discount if you are flying with either of these airlines
Assured Sreening - They are a little cheaper at £109 per person
Beware that some companies are charging extra to get a Travel certificate
